Therapy with Roxanna
Associate Marriage and Family Therapist
Therapy is your space. I want to provide you with a warm, thoughtful, socioculturally-attuned and collaborative environment. The therapeutic space allows you to explore your individual needs, the belief systems you hold, and your hopes for the future. Here we can analyze your personal relationships, familial expectations, and your unique experience as a human being.
While your experience is individual, therapy can help cognitively reframe your mindset, by challenging the notion that an individual exists isolated from outside events. Your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors are deeply interconnected with societal influences, intergenerational patterns, and systemic forces that directly impact your life.
Hi there! I'm Roxanna.
I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) at Hallie G. Therapy and specialize in working with adolescents and adults struggling with anxiety, intergenerational trauma, and depression. I obtained my Bachelors of Arts in Psychology from UCLA and my Masters in Clinical Psychology from Pepperdine University. As the child of an immigrant mother and coming from a multi-ethnic background, I am deeply passionate about the second-generation experience. Understanding family history, cultural influences, and generational cycles of behavior is key to understanding how we got here and how to move forward.
